Daily Dive Operations

Morning Briefing

  1. Weather Assessment - Check conditions and forecast

Dive Log Entry Process

For each dive, record the following information:

Basic Dive Information

  • Date - Dive date
  • Time Slot - 9am, 11am, 1pm, 4pm, or night
  • Dive Site - Primary dive location
  • Secondary Site - If doing two sites
  • Dive Duration - Planned and actual bottom time
  • Maximum Depth - Deepest point reached

Environmental Conditions

  • Water Temperature - Surface and bottom temperature
  • Visibility - Horizontal visibility in meters/feet
  • Current - None, mild, moderate, strong
  • Wave Height - Sea conditions
  • Weather - Sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy

Personnel Assignment

  • Dive Guide - Lead guide for the dive
  • Captain - Boat captain
  • Deckhand - Surface support
  • Number of Divers - Total participants
  • Certification Levels - Open water, advanced, etc.

Customer Information

  • Group Names - Which groups/divers participated
  • Special Requirements - Private guides, photographers
  • Equipment Rentals - Gear rented to customers
  • Incidents - Any problems or emergencies
